Recently, I’ve decided to look at everything in life as an adventure. If I’m working on a new project, or if life takes an uncertain turn, it’s an adventure! Just saying those three words, “It’s an adventure!” helps me feel better. Let’s try it. New job? It’s an adventure! Divorce? It’s an adventure! Trust me; it makes everything all better. At least, it’s the healthiest coping skill I’ve obtained in my thirty-three years.
Our latest adventure (I’m writing for both Jared and me here) is that we’re expecting our first child, Baby Beers-Pennington. He or she will someday hopefully have another name, but for now, that’s what we’re calling him/her, and that’s the name of this blog.
Why is there a picture of beer on a baby blog? Am I advocating drinking during pregnancy? No! This is what I picture our family looking like. Of course, I’m shorter than that blonde Belgian ale there. (And my waist is higher.)
